11 Apr Church Council President – Easter Message

Happy Easter to everyone.  This is a time of year that I look forward to seeing many of you that I don’t get to see at other times. It’s usually a busy time for me preparing to celebrate with my family at home and prepping the Easter breakfast at Gethsemane.  It’s an event that many of us help with, from the kids dying eggs, altar guild setting up the tables, members making and providing food and also the clean up. It’s a real live community effort, that has now been replaced with “virtual” activities.  This fellowship at the breakfast and worship service is something I always looked forward to, but I am also leaning to enjoy my new virtual fellowship.

As we are learning to find our community in different ways, I am grateful for the ways we have learned to adapt. All things can be possible.
Hope you can all find a way to keep some of your traditions on Easter Sunday. I will have hard boiled eggs for breakfast and think of all of you, and pray for a time we can all be together again.
