Worship And Music Committee

This Committee includes the Pastor and several congregation Members who select hymns for the regular worship services. The Celebration Band performs on the second Sunday of the month at 9:15 am. Church Council Lead - Wanda Bolam.

Altar Guild Committee

The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary and the altar for each of the worship services held weekly, and for special events such as baptisms, weddings, funerals and memorial services, and first communion and confirmation. Church Council Lead - Diane Collier

Stewardship Committee

The stewardship committee focuses on the financial support of Gethsemane's mission and goals. You can now easily support our congregations ministry through our website. Church Council Lead - Casey Snyder

Christian Education Committee

The group oversees our Sunday school program. Sunday school opens each week with a short worship service, including music, Bible themes and prayer, which is held in the sanctuary. Church Council Lead - Bonnie Lindsay.

Property and Grounds Committee

The purpose of Property and Grounds is to keep the Church maintained inside and outside, attending to all issues that arise throughout the year and also addressing concerns and suggestions of the congregation. Church Council Lead - Joe Gentile, John Nappi.

Fellowship Committee

The fellowship committee sponsors a variety of activities with the hope of connecting with our congregation and friends. With the help of volunteers, the group hosts Lenten Soup suppers, Easter Breakfast, Church Picnic, Boat Trip, Halloween Party, Advent Wreath DIY Party. We welcome any suggestions to improve on existing activity as well as adding something new. Church Council Lead - Sue Ellis.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee provides financial oversight for the church. Executes budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies. Church Council Lead - Bob Collier.

Evangelism Committee

The purpose of the Evangelism Committee is to spread the spirit and words of Christ to all men and all women. They welcome all to worship and to encounter Christ. Our congregation treats everyone with love, trust, and respect. Together, our goal is to nourish spiritual growth and support all who witness and follow Christ's example. Council “reps” are not always the committee chairperson, but they are the spokesperson for that committee at the monthly church council meetings.  Many committees have other members, whom are not listed here.
